This painting is part of the series “Wild Animals at the Kaiserstuhl”

I painted the interesting bird naturalistically on a pouring background. This is also called fluid art, because the paint melts after pouring. An expressionistic way of painting. The hoopoe loves warm regions, e.g. the Kaiserstuhl in Baden-Württemberg (my home). In May it returns from Africa and settles here.
