This painting is part of the series “Wild Animals at the Kaiserstuhl”

A beautiful kingfisher hovering over a dynamic background. The background suggests water, because this great little bird likes to live there, catching small fish in it. For example, in my homeland at the Kaiserstuhl.
This painting has an expressionist background. The shape and colouring was based on a lot of coincidence, is unique and so not repeatable. The background is made by me in the so-called acrylic-pouring technique. The kingfisher is painted by me in a naturalistic style. The plumage of the bird is partly painted in metallic blue.
