The painting belongs to my series “Wild Animals at the Kaiserstuhl”.
The motif shows a beautiful grey heron. I painted the large bird on a fluid art background in naturalistic style. I made the background beforehand with the pouring technique in the colours blue, green, beige. It is a very lively picture because of the dynamics of the background and the bird looking attentively. Although the grey heron is standing still, the scene is full of life. The painting is covered with a satin protective varnish.
