Agneta Söderqvist’s painting has a strongly expressive expression which, with its thick layers of oil paint, sometimes has a three-dimensional effect. With a sensitive color and subtle nuances in the color, she conjures evocative poetic images of nature, houses, and figures. She debuted at gallery Doktor Glas in Stockholm in 1998. Has her own publishing house; Rakel’s Publishing House and has published two own books with drawings, paintings and poetic text: Hon har mång nam-en väg 2006, Din hand vördold 2016. Also runs the Per Jonsson Dance Center with the collections around the choreographer Per Jonsson. In 2017, she decorated Ljusdal’s municipal hall video work Lorem – an imprint of Per Jonsson’s choreography. She has written the book Art Shall Be Like a String Between Earth and Sky, A book about the choreographer Per Jonsson, Firework Edition 2004.
