Inspired by a movie in slow motion, Wil Lof has created series of paintings under either the title Rendez-Vous or Encounters.
These paintings show abstracted figures meeting each other and having a great time together… but things change the moment another, different figure arrives.
Using this underlying theme, the Series Encounters and Rendez-Vous were drafted.
The figures show mutual relations, but they distance themselves too and disappear.
The paintings in these series are usually painted in warm and powerful expressing colors
