In the painting Spring (2022, 21×15) there’s an uninviting brown stone wall, and some tangled bushes in front. It seems there is no way out, but the bushes have started to grow new green leaves, and there are birds amongst the branches that have wings with which to fly away. You can imagine their singing filling up the bleak urban yard where the scene is set. The painting is painted on a thick aquarelle paper (600g).
