The main idea of this photo is the view into eternity. In our modern world, we constantly fight to demonstrate our power and confidence which most often turns out to be superficial. I wanted to reveal this woman’s vulnerability and ability to feel someone else’s pain. Her eyes remind us of the Fayum portraits – the first portraits of certain individuals and not generalized images of some fictional person. This is what makes the viewer look into the eyes of the depicted person for a long time.
