”Colors have a positive effect on us” I believe that colors affect us and make us happier and healthier. Art has healing power. I hope my art gives you a moment of stillness, hope, joy, and a kind of inner peace. The same feeling you can get in nature, in silence, or through art. It is needed in our fast-paced stressful world. This a reminder to slow down and see the beauty that surrounds you. “Life in Lapland is my inspiration” I get inspiration mainly from life here in the north, nature, animals, the light, colors, stillness, silence, the clean and beautiful but also the wild and unexpected. Soft romantic dreamy women and animals are often in focus of my paintings. They come with different positive messages such as following your dreams, freedom, hope, and seeing the beauty in life. I often use symbols for example eternity, butterfly, reindeer, snowflakes, and the same sun wheel in
my paintings. The reindeer which often is seen in my paintings is a symbol for life in harmony with nature. I want my culture and life in Lapland to
be a part of my paintings.
“Art is my language” For me, painting, brushes, and colors are my language, my safe space. There I can express my innermost thoughts, feelings, and what I have experienced. I feel free when I paint. Through the magical world of colors, everything is possible.

”Peacefulness through Art”
For as long as I can remember I have been painting. It has always been a natural part of my life but it was first after I got ill of burn out I understood how powerful art actually is. I have experienced it through my illness and finally got healthy and healed through art. From that day I decided to dedicate myself wholeheartedly to painting and it all began when I started a one-year distance education, Mastery program at the Milan Art Institute in the USA to become a professional artist. The education had everything I was looking for, and that choice is the best decision I made in my life.
I like to mix different materials and techniques when I paint, for example, graphite, markers, crayons, collage, gold leaf, acrylic, and oils. I always work in multiple layers and I like the technique of mark-making. In my color palette, there are often pastels where pink, purple, blue, and white are the dominant colors. I mostly paint colorfully because it gives me positive energy.
