Train to Johannesburg 100x130cm

Description

The story here is a train full of Mozambicans on the way to Johannesburg. The expression on the faces shows a mixture of sadness, uncertainty, adventure, excitement, concern, etc. In 2023 I created an acrylic and mixed media abstract collage, but it didn’t do it for me and there was no interest. It was bland and boring. So, I decided to paint a train scene over it, allowing some of the abstract to show through. I want people to feel the emotions of the travelers, seeking a better country to live in
