One Friday evening a friend and I visited friends until very late, in the south of London. We had to take the last train to London. First place winner in the category: Impressionist landscape with life and third highest score of the whole ART COLLECTORS’ CHOICE AWARDS contest 2024 entered by 62 countries. Part of the annual American Art Awards.
My main style is realistic Impressionism, but I also enjoy painting much loose and boldly. I sometimes lean towards Expressionism and even Abstract Impressionism. My commissioned work needs to be more descriptive and accurate, because that is what the client expects and is always very happy with. The aim is to create paintings that are a lot more attractive and alive than a photo could ever be. I never attempt to be photo realistic, instead I want people to see the brush and knife marks clearly
