The Wheel of Destiny – Acrylic on board – 120 x 85 cm
What is the face of power? If you get close enough, you’ll see how the honest man struggles to retain his identity, but most give in to its influence and gradually transform into what he used to despise. In Latin America, time and again, power becomes abusive until someone stands up to it. But generally, if it triumphs, it becomes what it despised. If it fails, its people pay a heavy price, and the leader is prosecuted by a justice system that doesn’t believe in innocence.
