Description
The contemporary impressionist work of French artist Max Agostini (1914-1997) really inspired me very much, when I saw his work in Paris. My visit to Claude Monet’s Garden in Giverny was very rewarding an d I took many photos to paint in my studio. I hope that viewers get the feeling of Summer. I chose oil as preferred medium for this scene, so that I could blend colors into each other. The wet buttery nature of oil creates a soft merging of brush and knife marks
