Description

Here is Care, a riddle where lots of half hidden things are going on at the same time. 

I admire us, human beings, for our courage and our resilience, our love and our immortal will to do good, to learn, to get up after falling over. Because gosh, is life full of challenges! And yet, there we go again, stumbling on, step after step, learning so much laughing, crying, failing, succeeding. You see both the struggle and the strength in the eyes of my portraits. 

The dominant colours here are the green and red in the hair and the white of the face, contrasting with the black, deep  eyes. 

The face is painted in oil, over a foundation of news paper collage. There are different languages, scripts even, that depict the rich background and the different layers that make up the landscape of our life. WE also see drawings, comical characters. The ultimate layer is epoxy, which makes the image vibrant and makes it shine like a mirror in which you can see yourself.
