This collagraph monoprint is 1/3 in a variable edition. Authenticity comes framed in a brushed brassy gold metal frame. Framed, the artwork measures 25.4 CM width by 33 CM high.

Authenticity is one of 48 symbols in the series, animae: THE SOURCE, which is a group of collagraphs, created from 2022-2024, that abstractly symbolize 48 core/personal values. These values-inspired symbols are intended to invite the viewer to pause and reflect. Elizabeth Lorayne merged her unique printmaking style with her work as a Jungian and Expressive Arts coach by creating this series “of the soul” – animae. When was the last time you reflected upon your own core values?

The original art for animae: THE SOURCE is created by hand and printed on Elizabeth’s etching press. During her studies at The New School in Manhattan, she gravitated towards the printmaking technique of collagraphy. Each original symbol is cut from mat board, layered with textures, inked, wiped and printed with Charbonnel oil-based etching ink on BFK Rives printmaking paper.

The entire series is also available as Animae: The Source, a Values-Based Deck—an open-ended tool for self-discovery, self-healing, and community-building. As a Jungian coach, Elizabeth understands the power of symbol. She created this values-based tool in hopes of building bridges between friends, family, colleagues and, most importantly, between our inner world and ourselves.

These specific values were selected with the intention of aiding you in the deep remembering of who you are and what is most important to you. This is a tool for everyone, from teachers, to HR, to therapists, to coaches.

The abstract art acts as its own depth-tool. When you work with the value, be sure to tune in on an intuitive-gut-level; and reflect on what you see in the symbol, the colors, and the textures.
