Anaglypta

The 3 part painting ‘Anaglypta’ is an interpretation of the carved friezes of the Siphnian Treasury housed at the Archeological Museum of Delphi. The study of the rhythms within the composition of the friezes was a way into organising the elements of a triptych painting. The look of the painting was always intended to suggest the format of a ‘frieze’, the colours are muted to enhance its formal aspect.
