NAVEMA: The Art of Intuition, Color, and Inner Truth

To reach the stars, one must learn to fly. “I paint because words were not enough. I paint to uncover what I lost, what I am, and what I’m still becoming.” — NAVEMA

NAVEMA was born in 1957 and has spent her life immersed in color, form, and emotional expression. From an early age, she explored various techniques—pastel, charcoal, Indian ink, Chinese painting, and silk work—always searching for a language that felt true. In recent years, she found that voice in watercolor and acrylic, mediums that allowed her to let go of control and create with instinct rather than plan.

Her work is deeply personal. Painting is not a craft she performs but a state she enters. It’s intuitive, layered, and raw. She paints on wet paper, lets it dry, turns it, and observes what her subconscious reveals. Each work becomes a dialogue between emotion and color, between inner truth and outward form. Her style leans toward semi-abstract and abstract, where meaning emerges slowly and freely.

NAVEMA paints with purpose. Her work explores themes that are both personal and universal—protection of the vulnerable, healing from emotional wounds, the beauty and fragility of nature, and the psychological weight of power. These subjects surface not through direct depiction but through texture, movement, and symbolic forms. She lets the painting lead, rather than impose meaning from the start.

Her process reflects this same openness. She paints without sketching or planning, allowing color and collage to shape the message. She believes in letting the painting speak first and only afterward attaching words or interpretations. Even then, she invites viewers to see their own stories in her work. The art becomes a mirror—different for each person, never fixed in meaning.

NAVEMA’s art is rooted in healing. For her, painting is not decoration—it’s survival. It’s how she processes pain, how she reclaims her voice, and how she lives in full presence. She describes her creative journey as a long effort to reconnect with her soul after years of silence and suppression. Each painting becomes a step in that recovery, each piece a record of transformation.

This passion led her to write as well. In 2022, she published The Power of the Soul, Being Oneself in Transparency, followed by Creative at Heart, the Intuitive Breath in 2023. These books, like her paintings, explore self-expression, emotional truth, and the courage it takes to be seen without filters. Together, her visual and written work offer a quiet but powerful call: be honest, be open, be yourself.
