Vaaran maa

Description

Tom Lönnqvist is a Helsinki based artist working with sound, space and performance. He has a masters degree in sound and has been part of several acclaimed dance and performance art pieces. Tom’s artistic work include working with body, modular synthesis, installation, painting, video, drums and ambisonic field-recordings.

The paintings are created from the triad; water, earth, city. Water as in waves and movement. Earth as in soil with its vibrancy of growth. City as in culture, shape and sound. The paintings are created on large canvases on the floor to be then finalised within a frame.
