Once Upon a Time in Kyiv (aka Three Friends in a Fountain, Maidan Nezalezhnosti or Independence Square, Kyiv). Acrylic and oil on blocked canvas. Mostly acrylic. I have been experimenting with acrylic pens (using a set square for getting accurate construction lines for the buildings). I left some lines showing which I kind of like. 25 years ago (June 2000) I took a photo of this scene in beautiful Kyiv in a time of wonderful peace. I want the viewer to feel the joy and carefree vibe. We take peace and freedom for granted
