Pink Ambition

Pink ambition. How good would it be to be free of confinement in this world of rules that don’t fit our modern needs. To be free to think, to wish, to express our passion. This girl has deep blue eyes, a ring in her nose and pink hair. Bubbles and decorations and free thoughts and dreams floating about, in blue green, orange and yellow. Spray painted letters and very red lips

This painting is made over a collage of paper on canvas. I painted in various layers and mainly with oil. I also use  spray paint and acrylics. 

Then i put the canvas on wood and applied layers of liquid glass, painting in between the layers. The liquid glass  makes the colours more lively and sparkling, and give a profundity to the image. It is as if the faces are under water. Depending on perspective and light, there are different reflections that play with the painted image, and magical light effects.
