During the “time of the virus” I began doing small paintings that were the antithesis of what I/we were experiencing as humans. The painting of these pieces became somewhat like meditations in paint for me as they felt soothing and grounding. The images came from my imagination, from visual memories and/or depictions of emotions…things that I could meditate on during that time in isolation that brought me peace but also stimulation. It became a series or a collection of 15 pieces of work which continues to grow.
