Marooned in the Snow

Description

This series began in a workshop run by the amazing artist and tutor Ashley Hanson.  In the workshop which was based on Weather we looked at all sorts of different scenarios to paint different weather conditions. This painting is based on a visit last year to the USA above the snow line in one of the national parks near Bryce Canyon.  Framed in a simple black box frame.  The oil paint in this painting has been applied wet on wet to help with the feeling of the snow.
