Homage to Desigual

Description

Mixed Media work in multiple layers done in all sorts of media, including acrylic, inks, collage, posca pens, and crayons.   This painting is  partly based on numerous visits to the beautiful island of Menorca in the Mediterranean (my parents lived there for many years), and visiting Mahon (capital of Menorca) where there is a wonderful clothes shop called Desigual which has very colourful and funky clothes (just up my street).  Last year when I went to the island I found some of their lime green packaging, awesome and I have incorporated some of it into this picture.  They do have a store in London, which I have visted a few times, however, their online store is pretty good.
