Enameled Mango Leaf Earrings

Description

The Enameled Mango Leaf Earrings are a colourful spin on the original Mango Leaf earrings. The Mango Leaf Line is inspired by the times I spent as a child in my grandparents’ backyard, playing with my sister and cousins under the mango tree’s shade. Mango leaves have a way of drying and twisting into themselves to create a unique shape: no leaf dries the same way. I have recreated this through fold-forming, a technique which involves hammering, folding, and unfolding the metal to create the desired effect. I have added colour through a process called enameling. Enamel is coloured glass that has been baked on to the surface of the metal at 1500 degrees F.
