CINQUE TERRE

This work, made entirely with the use of the spatula, depicts one of the charming villages of the Cinque Terre. To tell the truth, I never knew for sure what it was, but his connection to me was born in a completely unexpected way. Some time ago, while looking for a book in the house library, I found a piece of paper hidden in the pages. Despite the passage of time, the sheet was not crumpled and reported a large sketch that occupied almost the entire page: a representation of a typical Ligurian landscape, hand drawn by my father during his youth.

Fascinated by the discovery, I decided to reinterpret that sketch, transforming it into a painting that pays homage to his creative gesture. The work is characterized by a strong chromatic contrast, in which dark colors and bright shades dialogue to create a visual effect of great impact, while evoking the liveliness and poetic atmosphere of these coastal landscapes.

This painting is not only a celebration of the beauty of the Ligurian landscape, but also a personal tribute to the memory and artistic legacy of my father.
