The vessel was most recently featured in the international Wood Symphony Gallery 2025 “Turned and Sculptured Wood” Exhibit. The bowl has a smooth, rounded form and features a rich, earthy brown tone with intricate geometric patterns. Bands of detailed motifs in contrasting colors encircle the neck and body of the vase, incorporating star-like shapes and rectangular elements. Small blue accents highlight some of these geometric designs, adding a touch of vibrancy to the artwork. Its features evoke traditional southwestern patterns, and Native American designs (“Butterfly”). The main body is made from heavy Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba), The pattern contains African Padauk, Canadian Maple, Wenge, and various Maple veneers. This rather large piece also comes with some significant weight, mainly due to the dense, and heavy Brazilian Cherry in the main body. As for general care instructions, it is recommended to keep the bowl in a dry, stable environment (indoors), and avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
