A Swedish woodturner living in the city of Västerås.
Throughout my years as an opera singer at the Swedish Royal Opera, I often felt a need
to express myself in a different way than singing. When you sing, what you create
disappears in seconds, but when working with wood you can touch and feel the end
result. And it lasts.
Now retired and with fewer engagements, I have more time to develop my great interest in
woodturning.
I have attended classes held by master woodturners, such as Paul Kovacs in Stockholm,
and Nikos Siragas in Crete, Greece. All of which gave me new knowledge and inspiration.
It is always with high expectations I start with a piece of wood. What colours and patterns
will emerge from inside, and what cracks and branches will cause a problem. And then
you turn everything to your advantage.
