Vendor Biography

Beth was born in the 1960’s in St.Louis MO.  The great granddaughter of a tailor, she learned to sew early on.  In 1973, she was picked for a fashion design magnet high school in NYC, but was unable to attend.

Her current style  includes quilted clothing with trims, beads and fibers.  She also creates art and traditional quilts.

Beth’s other interests include dioramas, paint pours and dimensional painting which use recycled and rescued items to tell a story.  She uses bright colors but some pieces do take a darker turn.  She loves to work in the Gothic genre.  Her art shows a wide variety of talents.

Beth attended Clatsop Community College in Astoria, Oregon during 2007/2008 school year with a focus on basic art, sculpture, figure drawing and print making.  She has continued her education with classes in a variety of subjects including ceramics, photography, drawing and others. She intends to keep learning after retiring as Art Director in an after-school program.

In Oregon, Beth had the honor of showing a large dragon mobile in an art gallery, as well as a sculpture in a student show.  Since her move to West Virginia in 2014, she has been chosen for a number of shows including the prestigious FestivAll summer show for two years and the fall show for one year.

Beth believes her art should feel magical and tell a story in both the construction and subject matter.  She invites people to explore the texture of her pieces, feeling that is also part of the story.

Beth’s art is a true reflection of her soul and her love for life!
