In September 2022 I visited the beautiful tropical island of Zanzibar. I went to take as much photos as possible to paint from. When I return home, I painted 20 works of Zanzibar, mainly Stone Town. They formed part of my annual solo exhibition. I love painting everyday scenes, people going on with their lives, selling or relaxing. I am well known for painting figures. I want people to get the feeling of the sunlight and mood of East Africa
