Thassos tree

This artwork was carved on the Greek island of Thassos, well-known since antiquity for its white marble quarries. Surrounded by a multitude of olive trees that characterise the island, I decided to synthesize the slender silhouette of a tree, underlining through the work on marble its thick and rough bark
